SPRUCE MEADOWS

Happy 4th of July!!! O.K. ... So this technically wasn't posted on the 4th of July, but...We did attend the World Class show thing at Spruce Meadows on the 4th of July. So...I can still say it. James and I received free tickets to the horse Jumping events at Spruce Meadows from my parents, who were unable to attend, and we had extra tickets to give out so we invited Cory and Aubrey (Our Friends from North Calgary) to come with us! It was really enjoyable to watch. We saw the TD tournament and watched the military parade thing. The parade was just a little long, but the actual tournament was AMAZING! It was an awesome show to watch. Some of the riders actually had some trouble keeping their horses calm because a thunder storm rolled in overhead and one girl was even thrown in front of her horse and almost had her head stomped on! And then I caught video of her horse running Wild. Then it started POURING rain! REALLY pouring. But not to worry. We had a canopy over our seating area, so it was cool. The horses kept jumping and ironically a man form the U.S.A. won the tournament. A Will Simpson. He rode twice, he received third place on one horse and on the other he placed first! On the 4th of July too! :) AND he got first while it was POURING out! It was Awesome! and Amazing that the horse did slip at all! Overall it was a great experience. Well. Once the tournament was over it miraculously stopped raining and we hit the dog show. It was super cute. They had dog teams race one another with all sorts of breeds and had them race individually. We had fun, and Cory and Aubrey's 3yr old loved all the animals. She had the BEST time out of all of us I think.

Love Always,
Mrs. Fray Fray
